I submitted these photos of Lykke Li almost two years ago, when her popularity had just begun to gain a little ground in the United States. A few good people I've befriended here on dA commented on it--and not just empty flattery, but appreciation for the effort it took to photograph a low-light concert with a Canon Rebel XT.
Well it's not that I don't like receiving comments.
But I've hated most of every one of the comments I've been receiving on those Lykke Li photos I've gotten these past 6 months.
Yeah, I'm being a brat. I can't just suck it up and deal with the way popularity and dA works.
Thanks to her escalating popularity (not that I have a problem with her success), I can now check back after weeks of little to no activity to find comments like, "I luve her <3 <3" and "She's amazing."
Do you like Lykke Li? LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO THE MUSIC FORUM
forum.deviantart.com/entertain… , because I couldn't care less. Also, put in a little more effort to be at the forefront of music scenes, as opposed to waiting until they sell out enough for MTV's level of cheap.
I can only imagine the frustration (or that they've just had to accept it) professional photographers/tribute artists/music reviewers experience.

Rant aside; how have you all been?
